My orientation and training is quite eclectic, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, developmental, existential and experiential theory and practices, among others. A 38 year mindfulness meditation practice influences my therapy as well. Since psychotherapy is collaborative, the specific approach varies with individuals, but generally focus is placed upon identification of various problem issues and what can be done about them. The varied impediments, overloads, and restrictions upon the person's potential for health and well being as well as the many strengths available become grist for the mill of resolution and enhancement.
